Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Canada's Provincial Nominee Program is one of the special methods of immigrating to Canada. In the past years, the federal government has increased the annual allocation of the provinces for this program, and according to expectations, only from 2021 to 2023, 25,000 immigrants will succeed through this method alone. They will immigrate to Canada and become permanent residents. In this program, applicants are selected based on provincial criteria and can receive their permanent residence in that province. In this program, each province of Canada announces a list of jobs and skills it needs and investment conditions required by the province and tries to attract immigrants related to this need.

How to score applicants for the Canadian provincial program

The provincial immigration program can be in the form of an investment program or a skilled worker program, each of which has its own special conditions. To find out how each province scores points, you should refer to the official website of that province, but in general, each province has designed its scoring method according to the Express Entry system. It should be noted that in case of choosing the provincial program, the applicants will receive 600 additional points in the Express Entry system, which somehow guarantees receiving an invitation to apply or an ITA Invitation to Apply for the applicant.

Requirements for applicants to participate in the PNP provincial program

In general, provincial programs are economic immigration programs and attract people who can contribute to the economy of specific regions of Canada in jobs needed by that province and settle in those regions. Also, the presence of people and dependents of the applicant in that province can have a special advantage for the person. In this program, it is enough for you to prove that you have the ability to contribute to the local economy and that you intend to stay in that province.
